DESCRIPTION

Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. May supervise the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. They are primarily concerned with formulating the blueprints for the design of new computer hardware. A part of their job is to work with other professionals in developing suitable interfaces between hardware and software. They also create specification documents to explain the functionality of the hardware.
