DESCRIPTION

Assemble or modify electromechanical equipment or devices, such as servomechanisms, gyros, dynamometers, magnetic drums, tape drives, brakes, control linkage, actuators, and appliances. They are responsible for making sure that upon assembly, the completed product is functional and meets the specifications. In this role, they receive blueprints and guidelines for the assembling process. It is their job to follow these guidelines in assembling the different components and making sure that the specified assembly sequence is followed. A part of their job is to ensure that the dimensions of the parts being assembled are correct. They also ensure that the alignment and positioning of the components is accurate.
