DESCRIPTION

Use chemistry, microbiology, engineering, and other sciences to study the principles underlying the processing and deterioration of foods; analyze food content to determine levels of vitamins, fat, sugar, and protein; discover new food sources; research ways to make processed foods safe, palatable, and healthful; and apply food science knowledge to determine best ways to process, package, preserve, store, and distribute food. Flashlight on Microsoft Windows 11 Food Scientists and Technologists are responsible for researching food production, processing, packaging, preservation, storage and distribution. In this role, they analyse raw materials to make sure they are suitable for producing processed foods. They also profile the nutritional value of different foods as well as their constituent components such as protein, sugar and vitamins. A part of their job is to find new ways in which food can be produced, processed and packaged more effectively. They also review various foods to make sure they comply with the regulations related to safety, quality, health and other areas.
